Hi, does anyone know how to give relative permeability vs frequency data for materials in ANSYS Maxwell  (eddy current solver).  I want to input data like this for various material which will be used as a core for inductor.

The ansys maxxwell add material window dose not have any option to input this

      Hello mh.pial5,

Maxwell eddy current solver would support to define linear relative permeability with frequency as material properties, to match your material data.

1). Use simple as “Type” in relative permeability.

2). Enter pwlx($ds1,Freq) in "Value", a piecewise linear function with “Freq” that is intrinsic variable and could be found in the list of the project variables.

3). Dialog of dataset definition will show to define $ds1, a project variable, for the linear relative permeability vs. frequency, or you could define the project dataset before entering pwlx equation.
