SubscriberHi everyone,
I want to conduct acoustic simulation about an axial piston pump to check its noise, as is shown in Fig. 1, the noise in axial piston pump can be divided into two types: Fluid borne noise(FBN) and Structure borne noise(SBN), FBN is caused by flow ripple and SBN is caused by internal forces.
Is there any software can calculate the pump’s noise, and furthermore, to separately show the FBN an SBN?
Regards,

Ansys EmployeeHi
Ansys has several tools that can be used to try and estimate this (not sure to what degree it can capture all physics).
For fluid aero or hydro-dynamic excitation/sound normally CFD (Fluent) can be used.
For vibroacoustic analysis (due to say imbalance forces, or other mechanical forcesetc) Ansys mechanical acoustics can be used.
This is a very difficult and complex analysis as mentioned, and beyond what we can help with here in this forum.
I would suggest if you want more info, to contact Ansys sales and we will be able to advice further (or support if you are current user with support).
All the best
Erik

SubscriberHi
Thanks for your suggestion! I will decouple the simulation and see the results.Â
