Query regarding post processing of ANSYS Fluent by getting results from HPC

      Hello everyone,

I hope everything is going well for you. I'm using the VOF, KW-SST turbulent model to calculate hydrodynamic forces on bridges. My simulations are being run on HPC at my university. My question is that I run simulations for 50 seconds, but when I open the .dat result file after completing the simulation at HPC in CFD-post 2019, it gives me results at the end of the simulation, i.e. at 50 second, and I am unable to generate any animation from my results. Could you please explain to me how I can see my results in CFD-post 2019 at each time step by creating an animation?

My batch file code for running the simulations is as follows:

      /file/read-case /home/TX28_24/Fr0.2_1/Fr0.2_1_files/dp0/FFF/Fluent/FFF-1.cas.gz

      /solve/initialize/initialize-flow

      /file/auto-save data-frequency 4000

      /file/auto-save append-file-name-with time-step 6

      /solve/set/time-step 0.005

      /solve/dual-time-iterate 10000 20

      wcd test_01.cas.gz

      /parallel/timer/usage

      report/system/proc-stats

      report/system/sys-stats

      report/system/time-stats

      exit

      yes

Hello If you are creating animations, you will either need to save additional data files (at a certain preset frequency) when you are running your simulation in Fluent or you will need to export image files during the simulation run using which you can later stitch them together into an animation. You can use the Automatic save option in Fluent for this. I hope this answers your question.
Another option would be to set your animation directly in Fluent before you run your simulation. This will write the necessary animation files which you can export later into Fluent and view (or save as a video file) it.
