SubscriberHi,
I was given a license address by our UCSD system administrators to access the campus ansys license . I set the environment variable ANSYSLMD_LICENSE_FILE to ",[email protected]" but I when I launched fluent I got the following error message:
ANSYS LICENSE MANAGER ERROR:Failover feature 'CFD Solver - Level 2' is not available.
FLEXlm server is not responding. Resource temporarily not available.
ANSYSLI_SERVERS: [email protected]
FLEXlm Servers: [email protected]
Hit return to exit.
Unexpected license problem; exiting.
The fluent process could not be started.
Thanks,
Jerry

Ansys EmployeeThis does not seem to be an license access issue - from your (client) side communication happened with the license server. It, the license server, was not able to provide the license requested. Please bring this to the attention of the UCSD license system administrator. There are several causes for what you describe but it would be prudent to not force you to be the middleman in troubleshooting an admin issue.

Ansys EmployeeHave you tried resetting your User Preferences? go to Start>ANSYS>ANSYS Client Licensing Settings and Reset to Default.
