Is the Piezo and MEMS V2020.1 extension compatible with ANSYS EM Suite 2021 R1?

Hello Ram,

The Piezo & MEMS ACT is for Mechanical, not EM Suite. Are you trying to simulate with Mechanical or EM Suite? Note that you can use the native coupled field moduel in Mechanical for piezoelectric simulation.

I apologize, the current software I am using is AEDT 2021. I recall there being several solvers including Icepack, HFSS, Mechanical, and others. Would it be possible to run a coupled field modal/harmonic simulation in the Mechanical portion of AEDT?

The AEDT Mechanical only supports structural modal so piezoelectric (coupled field element type) is not supported. Harmonic solver is not supported either.

Hi, just to confirm, would it be necessary to use Ansys Mechanical to obtain coupled field capability, or would there be another product that could suffice?
