I am having assembly where on of geometry is having orthtropic material properties , This geometry is not aligned with global coordinate system it in inclined postion. I cantt change my assembly orientation, so i cretaed the local cordinate system for geomtery and assigned the material , which i created in engineering data section considering that the material proeprties will get mapped directly to the geometry cordinate system that i have created. 

 I am doing correct , if there any other ways please let me know. thanks in advance.

Hi Bala,

You are correct the material properties will be mapped as per the local coordinate system, as long as you have scoped the correct coordinate system under the details window of the geometry, see the image below for reference.

Thanks for the detailed response, i did the same as you mentioned. I got confused when i was looking material plot .
