Subscriberhi all
I am going to do a project in ansys maxwel, actually i need to add a magnet and i know i have to do it with add material. my magnet is NdFeB . i give the material from net, actually i can not valid them because they are different in value. I need to calculate Mu(permeability ) and I nedd exact value for Hc and Br for this magnet. is there anybody here knew about that or use this magnet before? is it linear or none linear in practice? i will appreaciate any kind of response -

Ansys EmployeePlease reference Maxwell online help topic: Nonlinear vs. Linear Permanent Magnets.  You need to decide which is appropriate for your specific material and application.
For linear permanent magnets, you must provide as input 2 of 4 quantities: Br, Hc, mu, Mp. Please reference Maxwell online help topic: Calculating the Properties for a Permanent Magnet
For nonlinear permanent magnets, please reference Maxwell online help topic: Calculating the Properties for a Non-Linear Permanent Magnet

SubscriberThanks a lot Christi and sorry for late answer because I had forgotten my password .
I find way to simulate it to some extend. But I want to impose Magnetic earth field as an external fixed field to my project. Do you have any idea on that?

Ansys EmployeePlease reference Maxwell online help topic:Â Assigning a Magnetic H Field for a Magnetostatic Solver
Use this for 4 sides and then even symmetry on remaining top and bottom of region background.
