Hello all Im working with medini analyze and a few days ago the program stopped working and had to use task manager - end task option since nothing else was working in medini. After all of this i tried reopening the project, but i cant open the project file and i get this error : Resource '/project name' already exists.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program still same error, tried old version of the project same thing since it has the same name. i dont know what else i can try.

Dear JohnjohnD,

medini has a support which can be reached out of the tool directly via Help>Contact Support. 

This way you will ensure that the medini tool support will answer quickly on your question.  I just came here by accident ;-) 

The issue you describe indicates that you have the project with the same name already in your workspace. This workspace can be temporary (if you open the project with double click), or fixed in your file system. 

In case you switch the workspace to another folder, or if you delete the project out of this location, or you rename the project in your workspace, you will be able to work with the project again.

You may want to try deleting the resource from the project and then try opening it again. If that doesn’t work, you may want to try creating a new project with a different name and then importing the old project into the new one.

Hello Users, the following instructions I wrote for my team. I've learnt from the ANSYS support team, thankx :)

Sometimes Medini crashes while opening throwing an error "Resource XYZ already exists".To solve the problem do the following.

-Create a new empty text file named like "dummy.mprx" (change ending from *.txt to *.mprx !!)

-Double click the file. Medini will open.

-Select a template like "Automotive" if requested. Medini will create a new project.

-Medini will show as a result the dummy project plus the already existing resource.

-Delete the project that is already existing from the workspace.

-Close Medini and run the original project.

-You can delete the dummy project as well.
