Hi,

The example file of LN phase modulator showing 'unexpected error'.

I am opening it in 2023 R2.0 lumerical version.

Can you please advice to access the file.

It might be due to some errors in your computer. I downloaded the file and the simulation can run to the end without any issue.

A simple solution can be to restart your computer;

you can also install the latest version of the software;

and you may need a clean installation: Fixing installation or licensing issues

Hi,

Latest version is not supported by our university license. Also, I tried 'clean installation' and reinstall the software still it doesn't work.

It is showing the same error as - 'unknown exception' as before.

In such case, you may need to rebuild the simulation file from scratch and see if it works, if you know all the parameters. Please also try other CHARGE files and see if you can open it.

It is very challenge for us to duplicate this issue and thus find a solution. I can download, open and run it without any issue, even with older version 

 'unknown exception' is usually from your computer, such as C++ library. Please update your OS.

Now 2024R2 is released.
