Can you please confirm if your laptop/workstation supports using more than 4 cores?
Can you also check if HPC pack/pool licenses are available for use?
Can you try using cores/process = 4 and let me know if it works?

Hello,
If this is the Free Student version, set # of cores to 4 max and set Number of GPU Requested to 0
Free Student version is limited.
Ansys HPC (High-Performance Computing):
