Icepak 26R1 – Mesh region temperature is discontinous from neighboring region

      Hi,

The Icepak model has good quality mesh (has several mesh regions) and converges well. Howver when I look at the temperature contours one of mesh regions seems to be disconnected from the rest, where temperature is trapped . Other mesh region results are as expected.

As any ideas how this can happen?

      Thanks - Mert

      Hi Mert,

This behavior usually indicates a connectivity issue in the model. Even if the mesh looks fine and converges, a region can appear “thermally isolated” if:

There is no proper conduction path (missing contact or gap between bodies)
Materials or interfaces are not assigned correctly

I recommend checking the body contacts, shared topology, and material assignments for that specific region.
To help us investigate this in detail, could you please raise a support ticket and share the project files/screenshots? That will allow us to review the setup more thoroughly.
      Best regards,
      Pdev
