     My model is a thin and long spiral coil, the coil geometry model was created in SolidWorks, saved as STEP format and then imported into icem, but it turns out that the arc of the coil in icem is made up of many straight segments, why is that?

You do not need to worry about that. It might be due to graphics issue on your system. You can proceed with the meshing. No issues.
