SubscriberGreetings,
I hope you are doing good ,I am working on Mechanical APDL R2023,I want to mesh areas with different materials and my model has almost 30 areas. Is it possible in APDL to hide or suppress areas so I can select only limited areas for meshing with accuracy.I want to hide or freeze areas during meshing same like we do in workbench.I am also sharing a picture for your information.I want to select only one area at a time.I have also created components, but still when i am selecting areas multiple hidden areas also selected during meshing.First picture is showing a complete model but the second picture represents the problem i am facing, i want to select areas from selected volume component , but areas from other hidden components are showing as well. -

Ansys EmployeeYou can activate/deactivate areas by selecting and unselecting them using the ASEL command. ASEL,S selects areas from the full model. ASEL,R reselects areas from the currently active set. If you select a subset of areas, subequent meshing operations will only occur on the active set.
