SubscriberWe are trying to perform meshing and convergence based upon an expression defined in the "Expression Cache" of the Analysis setup window. We are using a driven modal simulation type so the default convergence is based upon S-parameters (either |S| or matrix(S)). We are actually interested in converging on an expression related to far-field gain computed on an infinite sphere so we have created the desired expression in the "expression cache" tab of the Solution window. However, it's not clear how we can monitor convergence...it seems that we can view the value of the expression we define but only in the last adaptive pass (no convergence history) and it's also not clear what the relationship is between the various convergence expressions (in our case, is it that either or both expressions, S-parameters and our expression cache equation, must be satisfied?).
A few questions:
1. How can we view the convergence (change in our Expression Cache expression) as the adaptive meshing is proceeding? As mentioned we are only able to plot (in a Results window) the last updated value of our Expression Cache expression but cannot find any means of viewing the history to monitor convergence.
2. How can we tell HFSS to ignore S-parameter DeltaS in convergence? Currently we're setting DeltaS=0.5 (something very large) to make sure it converges and then letting HFSS continue with our expression cache but hopefully there is a better way to do this?
Thank you for your help!

Ansys Employee1) Yes, right click on 'Results' in the project tree and select 'Create Quick Report > Expression Cache' and also 'Expression Converge'.
2)Â If an expression cache target has not been met, the simulation should continue running even if the Max Mag Delta S is met.
