SubscriberHello:
I'm working on a CFD project at my university using Fluent. I'm having serious troubles with fluent due to the fact that, once I've upgraded the mesh, Fluent doesn't get that mesh and stills working with the previous one. Sometimes Fluent asks if I want to get the new mesh, but sometimes it doesn't. I've been trying to sove that problem, but I have no more ideas.
Could anybody help me?
Â
Thanks.

Forum ModeratorIf you're pulling a mesh in from Workbench Meshing it ought to be automatic. If not check the ribbon tool bar in Fluent and see if there's an update. Note, if you change topology or labels it can cause problems. Also, if you've done adaption or are using non-conformal interfaces the update may fail.Â

SubscriberSometimes it works, but not allways. I mean, I allways update the mesh, but sometimes it seems to be updated (a tick is shown in mesh). Then, I click "update", but Fluent doesn't show the message that advices that there's a new mesh. When I start Fluent, the mesh didn't changed.

Ansys Employeeif you update mesh then set up cell does not show green tick mark. if you try to open set up cell it asks you if you want to update mesh in set up.Â

SubscriberThat's the problem. Set up stills showing the tick mark once the mesh has been successfully updated. The mesh has changed, but Fluent doesn't change. Furthermore, Fluent loads the former mesh.

SubscriberI can't post images because of the fact that today its working right. Yesterday was different. When I changed the mesh, the lightening sing wasn't shown. I don't know why sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Could my OS be the problem? Or any software? I don't know what's wrong.

SubscriberHello.
After a few days working, problems are back. Although I've supressed the linear body, a question mark appears after meshing. It also can't be upgraded and, when I open the mesh, it seems to be empty. I'm wondering if there's any problem with my student license because the original problem stills there (Fluent doesn't get the upgraded mesh).
This is my screen after meshing.
When I open mesh:
Thanks.
