Open a Command Prompt try below commands to see how Fluent works:Â
set HOOPS_PICTURE=msw/win
"C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v222\fluent\ntbin\win64\fluent.exe" 3d -t2
Also try to set HOOPS_PICTURE to opengl, opengl2 and dx11 to see how Fluent works.Â

HOOPS_PICTURE=msw/win & opengl result in crash.
HOOPS_PICTURE=opengl2 & dx11 fluent opens.

run below in Command Prompt to set HOOPS_PICTURE to opengl2 or dx11 as permanent user enviornment variable:Â
setx HOOPS_PICTURE opengl2
Launch Fluent from Start. Hope it works.Â

Works with either setx HOOPS_PICTURE opengl2 or dx11. Which would be better for a 10th Gen i7 with a Quadro P620?

Â
Hi, i had the same issue.
I’m Windows user. In C:\Users\[your user] is a folder called ‘.fluentconf/22.2.0’. There is a file called ‘preferences’. Deleting this file solved my problem. It seems there are your preferences of launching fluent saved.
