      Fluent crashes on launch regardless of settings selected on the fluent launcher.  Applog in event viewer says: exception code: 0xC0000005
      Faulting Application cx2220.exe, Faulting module hoops2300_x64_v140.dll

      I've applied all windows updates, Updated nVidia graphics drivers, Uninstalled and reinstalled 2022 R2.  Nothing tried has made any difference.

      Open a Command Prompt try below commands to see how Fluent works:

      set HOOPS_PICTURE=msw/win

      "C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v222\fluent\ntbin\win64\fluent.exe" 3d -t2

      Also try to set HOOPS_PICTURE to opengl, opengl2 and dx11 to see how Fluent works.

      HOOPS_PICTURE=msw/win & opengl result in crash.

      HOOPS_PICTURE=opengl2 & dx11 fluent opens.

      run below in Command Prompt to set HOOPS_PICTURE to opengl2 or dx11 as permanent user enviornment variable:

      setx HOOPS_PICTURE opengl2

      Launch Fluent from Start. Hope it works.

      Works with either setx HOOPS_PICTURE opengl2 or dx11.  Which would be better for a 10th Gen i7 with a Quadro P620?

      dx11 coudl work better on Windows.

      Hi, i had the same issue.

      I’m Windows user. In C:\Users\[your user] is a folder called ‘.fluentconf/22.2.0’. There is a file called ‘preferences’. Deleting this file solved my problem. It seems there are your preferences of launching fluent saved.
