Fatigue damage calculation.
Having to define material fat curves as part of the material definition is a big limitation in ansys. If a change in the weld FAT class is required, you have to rerun the analysis, not ideal.
There should be the possibility to define fat class in the fatigue tool. Is there a workaround to resolve the issue?
I am still using my excel calc sheet but being able to plot the damage based on actual different fat classes in different areas of the model would be great tool to have. -

The Mechanical Fatigue Tool (FT) is an entry level fatigue analysis software. It will not be upgraded to directly consider weld classes. You need to upgrade to Ansys nCode DesignLife to obtain more advanced fatigue weld capabilities.
