“Failover feature ‘ANSYS electronics_desktop’ is not available” error message

  Hello,
  I've gone through the whole forum trying to figure out this error message, but, unfortunately, cannot. I originally thought this problem arose because I updated my Windows yesterday, but I still can't fix it even after deleting the update
  I'm getting the following error message when trying to start ansys electronics.
  Failover feature 'Ansys electronics_desktop' is not available.
  Request name electronics_desktop does not exist in the licensing pool.

  Are you pointed to a license server for licenses? It says license has expired.

  Thank you for responding.
  I'm not familiar with the licensing operations. I'm using the Ansys student version, so I don't think there should be an issue with the license expiration. I will try to figure out how this license server works.

    Student versions expire on July 31. You will have to download new release to have the license extended. 2023R2 will be valid from now through July 31, 2024
