I want to mimic the properties of the litz wire in MAXWELL 2D by providing it the stranded structure. how should i provide the excitation to each strands in order to exactly replicate the litz wire properties in ansys maxwell for AC resistance calculation.

      a) current excitation

      b) winding excitation

      c) any other excitation

for a single conductor, its geometry is defined as below:

Please answer me as soon as possible.

      Thanks

      Hello,

In material properties, there is a "litz wire" option for composition. You can directly use it and model the whole coil using a big circle.

If you would like to model each strand with in one coil, you can assign coil terminals on every one of them.
