SubscriberI was going through some lessons from ALH, especially "Ansys Charge Plus Getting Started: Paschen" and found out that I'm missing (it's grey-out) the "dielectric breakdown icon" under the domain setting. I went through the "help" topic in the manual and made sure I setup the domain correctly but it's still not showing up. I also have a demo file named "Paschen_test" to do this simulation, and when I opened it and it said "this document was saved by newer version of discovery and cannot be opened". I don't know if the SW needs to be updated.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Ansys EmployeeHi Htat(Ted),
Thank you for your question.
Please refer to EMA3D Charge Plus version 2024R1.
The Dielectric Breakdown icon shows up in the EMA3D tab instead of the CHARGE tab inside the Discovery interface.
- Open EMA3D with Discovery interface 2024R1.
- Select the EMA3D tab
- On the far right in the banner icons, select: "Other > Question Mark "?"
- Select Tutorials
- Open and work through the Charge Plus Tutorial example #2: Paschen
- Work through the PDF tutorial until "Arcing Region" Page 11
- Before proceeding to the Dielectric Breakdown setting, select the EMA3D tab
- On the left hand side of the EMA3D banner icons, select: Domain > Breakdown Region
- This will open the dialog: Name; Region Type: with Properities
- On the left hand side of your 3D model, the EMA3D project tree contains the Domain branch
- Right Mouse click the Domain branch in the project tree
- Here you can:
- Reset Lattice Bounds
- Edit
- Filter Visibility
- Breakdown Region
- Geometry: Surface, Line, Point
- Mesh: Inspect Mesh, Display Entire Mesh, Display Simulation Mesh, Mesh
- Rename
