Domain- Server unreachable or licenses could not be found

      Greetings,

I am graduate student at ASU and I am taking a course in Semiconductor Optoelectronics and we are using Lumerical for the class. I have downloaded the Lumerical software to my computer but when I tried to complete the process, the Domain field reads "Server unreachable or licenses could not be found". I am not very computer savvy to issues like this and was looking for some advice on how I may alleviate this. As far as I know ASU has acquired the required licenses for the students to use ANSYS on their personal computers. However I was never sent a license perse, and I think we are supposed to connect to ASU to use the Lumemrical software via ASU. I did hear the profesor mention that ANSYS wants to use 3 ports but I only see one port default (1055) in my options field. I attced a pic of this situation. Any suggestions?

      Hi Jiglesi,

Did Ansys provide you license file? Can you please contact your professor to have a correct hostname?

localhost is used when you have Ansys License Manager installed and license file uploaded to it.
