The Ansys Innovation Space website recently experienced a database corruption issue. While service has been restored there appears to have been some data loss from November 13. We are still investigating and apologize for any issues our users may have as a result.

Could not connect to a valid licensing server

      We have the following environment:
      Licensing Server 2024 R2
      2024 R2 Client Software
Ansys Academic Teaching Mechanical and CFD (25 tasks)

When attempting to log in to Workbench or Chemkin they receive the error: Could not connect to a valid licensing server. Review your licensing configuration in the Ansys Licensing settings application and make sure you are connected to a valid network.

The licensing tool autopopulates 1055@ipaddress and tests successfully, but when attempting to save, reports could not set FlexNet servers.

Attempting to find an answer in the existing forums often references Student software and suggests no need for licensing, but no solution for academic versions. Our students are actively attempting to utilize this software in labs at this time.

      Hi Nick,

Have you tried opening the ANSYS Licensing settings tool with Run as admin? This is required to save the license information
