SubscriberHi. I'm trying to design a model for a transient thermal solution of a material being heated in a microwave. Upon heating it undergoes a chemical transformation, releasing bound water. I have the electrical field in HFSS and a thermal profile in Icepak. Is it possible to add a chemical reaction in Icepak, or is there another way I could set up the simulation so that I can get the results of the chemical change? Thanks. -

Ansys EmployeeHi,
Chemical reactions cannot be modeled in Icepak, for that you might have to check in Fluent. However, material properties like conductivity can be defined as a function of temperature in Icepak to mimic the reaction.Â
