CFD-Rocky, Particle Evaporation

      Hello,

I have a question about using Rocky. I have fine water droplets around 5 micrometers in my domain which I consider use two way coupling model (CFD-Rocky) . I am wondering if it is possible to define evaporating/condensation (mass transfer) features in Rocky for droplet particles.

It may be available via a coded API, I'd need to check. Are you looking at particle coating? Just checking that you actually need Rocky and wouldn't be better off with the Fluent CFD solver.

      Thanks for your reply.

Actually, it's not a coating case. The droplets being emitted, evaporate naturally because they are water particles in a humid room environment.

The conventional DPM model in Fluent assumes no particle-particle interaction. However, since there is noticeable interaction between particles, the DPM model fails to accurately track them.

At 5 microns and shrinking I'm surprised the droplets do anything other than follow the gas flow.
