Hi,Â
I am trying to solve a vibration analysis for our product and I am getting the below attached error at the static structural analysis.I have sufficient RAM for my PC of 64GB and yet, this issue occurs.
I am using 2024 R2 version Ansys
Kindly help me with any solution for the same.
Regards,Â
Rani

Hello,
This type of message appears when you are running the program in dynamic memory mode and the program has attempted to allocate additional memory, but it failed because it could not find a large enough contiguous block of memory to proceed.
There was a similar question on forum that has been answered previously. Please see if it helps you: Not Enough Memory Error? (ansys.com)
Let me know if this post helps you. -

Hi Kaushal,
Thank you for the response.
I have tried all the solutions already that was mentioned in the attached link of your response. Simplified the design and worked on it, yet receiving the same result. Also, this is a design that has been done in Fusion and imported the step file to Ansys.
There were earlier issues with the contacts, and i have overcome them with reference to few forum solutions.
Also, I received a new error and attached below the same.

Hi,
I have checked, the license is running, now. I had to rename the cache folder and reopen it.
Also, can you please tell me how to run a smooth simulation of 1 hour time period without consuming too mucn simulation time(I dont need 3600 steps, i can reduce it to 1m/step) for the static load test of the above attached image design file.Â

Hi,
Are you carrying out the static or transient structural analysis?Â
The best practice for reducing the computational time is by cleaning the geometry (fillets, chamfers), and using beam elements for bolts and shell elements.
Thanks.Â

Hi,
I am using Static Structural, and post the static structural result, i will link up the modal and then to random vibrations.I have already simplified the maximum i can for the fillets/chamfers. Can you please me in detail for the beam element for bolts?
Also, can you please brief me about timesteps on how to divide the process
Thanks!

Hi,
Solid Bolt can be modeled as a 1D beam element. Refer: Intro to Preloaded Bolted Joint Design | Ansys Courses
And more details on timestep, a detailed explanation is presented in ansys documentation: 16.2. Steps and Step Controls for Static and Transient Analyses (ansys.com)
Thanks
