After learning Ansys ACP Post is being retired in favour of Ansys Mechanical, I am trying to place a Composite Sampling Point on a 3D solid composite (built in Ansys ACP Pre) however it is requesting a shell element geometry. Does this mean you cannot use Composite Sampling Points on 3D solids in Ansys Mechanical? I have completed in Ansys ACP Post without issues.

Hi Adam,
from Ansys 25R1 onwards the Sampling Point will also be applicable to Solid Models. Within Ansys release 24R2 you would need to use ACP Post to experience full functionality of the Sampling Point feature.
Regards
Thomas
