SubscriberI find it hard to find tutorials on ansys acoustic systems. I need to run modal analysis and harmonic analysis to get frequency response(pressure) on a body with FSI that is excited sinusoidally. I keep running into issues when acoustic body(air) is introduced in modal(Acoustic modal) as sans that(modal) it seems to work but runs to a dead end when connected to harmonic. Or is it fine if I neglect the air contained in the structure?Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have attached the structure i have and its internal geometry.
I am using Ansys 19.1 student version and have the acoustic extension

Forum Moderatorthere should be some workshop examples come along with the ACT doc. looks like you are trying to set up a Mode-superposition harmonic. Have you tried a full harmonic?

SubscriberI cant change the option to full after i link the modal to harmonic. I think I am making some fundamental error somewhere. Should I ignore the acoustic body inside? and I was talking about the modal acoustics, harmonic acoustics systems in Ansys 19.I could only find one pdf with the ACT,are there abything?

Forum Moderatoryou can make a duplicate of the harmonic and when popped up question asking if you want to maintain the link, say NO. then you have a independent harmonic and you can set it to full harmonic. Not sure what your overall simulation goal, also your structure material type etc, so I don't know if you can ignore. you can try running both with and without and see how much difference you get. there should be a whole bunch of lectures and workshops in the ACT folder. try download a different version see if you can find it.

SubscriberI finally go the modal acoustics to work but now I cant connect it to the harmonic acoustic for some reason. My overall simulation is to run modal analysis then get frequency response(pressure) for sinusoidal excitation(sound pressure/mass source etc) for which i needed harmonic acoustics.
