Hello,I've been trying to connect my client desktop to a licensed server from another desktop but I am unable to open the program, ANSYS electronics desktop. I have created ports for 1055 and 2325 and created FLEXLM_TIMEOUT setting in both desktops. However when I try to open the electronics desktop this message pops up.Failover feature 'ANSYS electronics_desktop' specified in license preferences is not available.nI have done research in the Ansys forum, but I don't know if the problem is the %APPDATA% folder that everyone keeps referring to or something else. Also I am unable to find the %APPDATA% folder in my C drive. Thank you in advance. nF. Tse

Array Please open the %TEMP%\.ansys\licdebug.ANSYSEDT.EXE.XXX.out, where XXX is the version you are running. Please share the FULL contents of the file.nnYou may also need to set your ansyslmd process to use a static port. Array The license to be modified is on the machine running the license manager, C:\Program Files\Ansys Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\license_files\ansyslmd.lic.nnThe file I requested can be found by opening a file explorer window and typing %TEMP%\.ansys without the quotes. I found both files, however when I try to save license file, I do not have permission to open the file and it gives me an error to save.n

You may need to save it to your desktop, then copy it and replace the existing copy to address the permissions issue.nnIt looks like setting the port and adding the exception should work.nnThanks,nMattn
