We have an exciting announcement about badges coming in May 2025. Until then, we will temporarily stop issuing new badges for course completions and certifications. However, all completions will be recorded and fulfilled after May 2025.

Macro Particle Model simulation not giving expected results

Hi,nHope you are well.nI wish to simulate and track particle motion in a microchannel. Since I don't want my particles to be considered as point masses, I wish to use the macro particle model instead of DPM. However, I am not sure how to visualize the results since I run the simulation on a remote compute cluster. I only have the final result data file. Can you kindly suggest a way to extract particle tracking data once the result data file has been imported to fluent? Also, there seem to be very limited resources on macro particle modeling in the ANSYS Help guide and online forums, so any general tutorial on the Fluent macro particle model would also be very helpful.nThanks.n

There are some tutorials but are not exposed on the Standard Tutorial Webpage. Please be aware that the default tools for post processing do not work for MPM.nIn the MPM panel you can display Injections.nAlso please look into https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v211/en/flu_ug/flu_mpm_using_mpm_init.html. One MPM is initialized some macros will be avaiable to allow you post-porcessing MPM and using the macros as calculation activity if you want to autosave overlays of particles with the flow.n
