SubscriberHi,
I got an error -> "forrtl: severe (157): program exception - access violation" when running ls-dyna with S-ALE domain, in MPP run mode and using *ALE_Structured_Mesh_volume_filling keyword. Running the same file using SMP is ok. I have to used the keyword *Initial_volume_fraction_geometry to replace *ALE_Structured_Mesh_volume_filling in order to run MPP. I upgraded my solver to V252 but still have this problem. Wonder whether anyone encounters this issue as well.

Ansys EmployeeHi
Please try and download the latest versions (2025 R2 is not the version) – latest LS-DYna versions are say R16.1. or R16.2. and see if it helps.
Downlaod instruc.: Download LS-DYNA solver
If the latest versions also give this error, contact your channel partner: CAD-IT-Consultants in your region and send them your model so they can try and help you.
All the best

SubscriberI believe 2025 R2 is R16 and it's still giving me error. I will check with CADIT. Thanks.
Anyone with this issue please also feel free to mention here in case this is a genuine bug.

Ansys Employee25R2 is shipped with
| Version : mpp d R14 |
| Revision: R14.1.1-16- |
| AnLicVer: 2025 R2
So downlaod as mentioned R16.1.0 or R16.1.1, or best the latest R16.2.0 and try that out first.
If this does not help, send it to you channel partner – if they can reproduce it, then they will send it to us and we will look into further to see if this is an issue.
Thank you
Erko
