Forum Moderator2019R1 is no longer available as the student version. However, if University IT can open a link you should be able to use their install: they'll need to help you with that.Â
As far as I know you can do nonlinear in Student. The only restrictions are on cell count and (I think) parts of the Explicit solver.Â

Subscriberokk thanks..
The problem with the recent student release is that we do not have Piezo and MEMS extension available for student version 2020 R1 in App store which I need for my simulation that is why I needed lower version. Is there any other way to use Piezo properties except for writing APDL commands in recent release?

Ansys EmployeeYour last question may be best asked in the Structural Mechanics section.
As for the older version package, I'm not sure if you can use student version with ACT even if you were able to obtain its installation package. Does your school have any ANSYS Academic licenses ? If so, you can ask them to go online and download old ANSYS academic installation package for you but you will have to make sure your machine can connect to the license server.

SubscriberI added the extension for the first time, it installed successfully but again when i closed the workbench and open again the extension is not there, when i install again error pop up saying 'Root element missing'.
I have saved the Piezo and MEMS extension under C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Student. For better understanding pls see the attachment.

Ansys EmployeeSo, on the first time you were able to use this extension ? That's surprising because this extension is built only for 2019 R1.
What if you unload and then reload the extension ?
You can also reset its config with the following command in CMD Prompt
move "%appdata%ansys" "%appdata%ansys.old"
