Boundary Conditions

Hi everyone, I have a problem with boundary condition with Simulation Excercise.

Following the problem description, I set up frictionless supports for holes A and B, and applied a 10,000 N force on hole C (in the -Y direction). However, when I solved the model, an 'Invalid Boundary Condition' error appeared.

Do I miss any boundary condition?

Can anyone help me? Thank you so much

      Hello,

This simulation exercise asks students to exploit the symmetry of the structure by modeling only half of the geometry (please see step 1 in the screenshot below from the instructions) and then applying the appropriate symmetry boundary conditions. Have you considered this step?

Hi, I've spit the model into half. But I don't know how to set the boundary correctly. Hole A and B are inserted by frictionless support and I think it's enough for this model. But Error invalid boundary condition also appeared when I solved the model

Thank you for providing more information.

Ensure that the Symmetry Normal is defined correctly (refer to the image below). Also, use Bearing Load instead of Force as indicated in Step #5 of the instructions.
