SubscriberI installed ANSYS 2020R1 for student and when launching Mechanical APDL i am getting an error "The procedure entry point pow2o3 could not be located in the dynamic link library c:program filesansys incv201ansysbinwinx64cadoe_core.dll".
I tried to unistall and reinstall program for many times, but I had the same result.
My computer is Windows 10.
The output of the following command from CMD Prompt "C:*cadoe_core*" is:

Ansys EmployeeHi Emmanuel,
That output is odd. Could you post the screenshot of the output instead of text ? Please post it in the content and not as an attachment.
Also, please post the output of
set
command from CMD prompt.
Thanks,
Win

Ansys EmployeeIt seems you miss some libraries that the dll is looking for.
Can you try reinstall the software again ? Make sure you 'run as administrator' and if possible, turn off security software while installing it. Additionally, make sure you completely remove the ANSYS Inc folder before you re-install.
Please also post the entire output of 'set' command , not just 'path'

Ansys Employeeand if you run this command again
dir /s "%awp_root201%*cadoe_core*"
Do you still see just 1 file in the output ? You are supposed to have cadoe_core.dll and cadoe_core.lib but the .lib was missing from your previous installation for some reason.
If you still miss the .lib this time, may be it's best you re-download the installation package. And it may be because of the default language of your systems is not English. If you can change it to default to English before installation, that would be great. Otherwise, another way is to find a machine with already have Windows as default language, install ANSYS on there, and just manually copy installed directory over to replace those on this machine.

SubscriberI have this exact issue. Reinstalling doesn't help. 2019R3 works just fine. I ran the suggested command dir /s "%awp_root201%*cadoe_core*" and it lists both files. Default OS language is English. Â
2020R1 works fine when I first install it and then I finally figured out that installing our other required package Aspen V11 by AspenTech breaks Mechanical APDL 2020R1 with this exacot error.
Fluent also gives me a similar error:
The procedure entry point pow2o3f could not be located in the dynamic link library c:progra~1ansys incv201fluentfluent20.1.0win643d_hostfl2010.exe Â
Â
I am required to host both applications in our classroom. What can we do?

Ansys Employeeit's likely that your other application puts some of the libraries listed below in Windows systems files (e.g., C:Windowssystems32 ) , which makes it affects ANSYS and any applications on the machine that happens to use the same libraries.
If you check your C:Windowssystems32 , you probably have one or some of the following dll's in there
libchkp.dll
libgfxoffload.dll
libicaf.dll
libifcoremd.dll
libifcoremdd.dll
libifcorert.dll
libifcorertd.dll
libifportmd.dll
libioffload_host.dll
libiomp5md.dll
libiompstubs5md.dll
libirngmd.dll
libmmd.dll
libmmdd.dll
libmpx.dll
liboffload.dll
Normally, software should not put files in here as it affects the entire systems. You may have to work with the support of the other application to see a way to not put the dll's in there.
