SubscriberHi all,
So I have downloaded and installed ANSYS 2020R1 through the ansys customer portal and have a research license for it. All licensing are running fine. When I open the workbench I get the 'Could not connect to any license server.' as shown in the image attached. How can I solve this problem or how can I specify a license server machine for it to work?
Thanks in advance,
Jesus Roman

SubscriberUpdate: I stopped getting the error message by specifying the server machine to both the Server anslic and client anslic, which was not specified for some reason.
Nevertheless, when I open the software it seems that my workbench is missing the analysis system tools and some component system tools which are only visible in the toolbox customization. How can I add this to the toolbox? I already tried reseting and refreshing the workspace but nothing..

SubscriberUpdate 2: Managed to fix it by deleting the %appdata%ansys folder. Nevertheless there are component systems such as Fluent, CFX, and some others which i am unable to move to the toolbox. Please help I actually need to use Fluent for my project.

Ansys EmployeeWhat was the name of the installation package that you used ?
Can you post the screenshot of what you currently have in analysis systems ?
What research license does your license server have ?

SubscriberThanks for replying,
i. I downloaded and installed ANSYS 2020R1 from the customer portal using ISO images
ii. These are images of my current analysis systems and the error message when I try to launch the Fluent app launcher from my Windows search:

iii. This are the licenses from my client and server ANSYS license preferences:

Ansys EmployeeThere is no Fluent licenses here. Only Icepak, Maxwell, AIM, and Mechanical. Please ask your ANSYS Support Coordinator or ANSYS Account Manager about this missing license.
Just to double check, what is the output ofÂ
"%awp_root201%..Shared FilesLicensingwinx64ansysli_util" -statli 2325@laptop-ttjveqdi
from CMD Prompt
