      Hello, everyone.

I want to know the instruction about the instruction of RSM installation on Linux and the setup on Windows. The fact is that I want to submit calculation from Windows to Linux , which RSM can do it well. Now, the ANSYS softwares(version 18.2) are installed correctly on Windows and Linux separately. However , I don't know how to configure it properly on Linux and Windows.

I want to know whether there are some videos or instructions about configure RSM on Linux and Windows.

      Thanks!

      Hello Tsiriaks,

I have finished configure the RSM. Thank you so much. But I have another question. Is it possible for me to monitor the residual curves real time if I submit a Fluent Job from Workbench. I try to right-click the solution and select ‘show solution monitoring’ and set progress download interval as 5 seconds. . As a result, it doesn’t show up real-time. Instead, only does the job finished can the curves shows. But I wan to see it real-time. Is it possible to be?

      Best regards

I'm not familiar with Fluent-RSM but I know that for Mechanical-RSM, there is a similar setting as what you said but it depends on the network speed and how large the file needs to transfer. If it takes more time that what you specify, it will just keep refreshing the file transfer (to transfer a new one), so you will not see the update until the end.

      Thanks,

      Win

      Hello Tsiriaks,

I will be easy if it is exactly where the problem is. And I would go to change the interval time a bit longer so that I can check it.

      Thank you very much.

      Best regards

Ok, sounds good. I would recommend to first try with a very small project, yet can take a bit to solve (like small mesh size but have lots of time steps)  , just for a test.

      Thanks,

      Win
