Hello!

My name is Nikhil and I am a student at Leibniz University Hannover and work as a HiWi (student job) at the Institute Of Quantum Mechanics (IQO) at the institute.

We have the licence to install the HFSS software through the Electromagnetics Suite 2019 R3.

Unfortunately, while installing we are getting the following error message

We've tried installing multiple times and searched quite a few forums on the internet but couldn't find any solution. Our computers work on a server based network. The error message is pasted below.

CRC Error: Files/AnsysEm/AnsysEM19.5/Win64/syslib/Simplorer elements/basic elements VHDLAMS/Basic Elements VHDLAMS.asmd doesn't match the file in the setup's  .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup maybe corrupted, contact your software vendor.


It would be of great help if you could please help me resolve this issue at the earliest.

What is the file size after you uncompress the installation package ?

What is the OS version on the machine ?

Hi ! thank you for the reply.

The size of the uncompressed file is 6.58 GB

 The OS of the machine is windows 10

I tried installing the software on a different machine but while installation it gives a different error. I have attached the image of the error below.

For the file size, please right click on the unzipped folder -> Properties , and post screenshot of it here.

Can you translate the error message in your screenshot for me ?

Essentially, check if there is any file being written in %temp% (sort by date modified) while you are installing the Ansys EM products. Make sure you run the installer with 'run as administrator' and try temporarily disable security software on the machine.
