SubscriberIs the shape function for the SOLID187 (10-node tetrahedron) determined solely by the given L1,L2,L3,L4?
I am trying to calculate the element stiffness and mass matrices using MATLAB, but the error becomes significant as the number of elements increases. Specifically, the mass matrix is calculated using ρ∫N'*N*dV, yet the error remains large. What could be the reason for this? (I have confirmed that the Gauss points are 4 through PRESOL and LOCI)

Forum ModeratorHello,
You will find all information pertaining to SOLID187 here: SOLID187 (ansys.com)
but I am not sure why the results are not in correlation to MATLAB.
