SubscriberI am trying to learn the Ansys Fluent 2023 R2 by using the lab computer of our university, while having trouble to just normally start the fluent.
I am following the fluent guidelines and using the Ansys Workbench as a first step. After I set up the geometry and try to edit the mesh, the computer hangs for several minutes, and then shows "The FLUENT application failed to validate the connection".
If I choose the Fluid Flow (Fluent) instead of the Fluid Flow (Fluent with Fluent meshing) in the Workbench, I can successfully edit the mesh, while still showing the same error message (The FLUENT application failed to validate the connection) when clicking to edit the Setup as a next step.
When I just open Fluent itself, the software would show the error message (The procedure entry point__svml_pow2o32 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:
......)
I got some information form the Ansys Forum. To Rename C:\Windows\system32\libmdd.dll (e.g. to libmdd.dll.old) may resolve the issue. However, I am not the administrator of the lab computer of our univerisity. Also I am not able to find that file. I can only find these dll files in the folder of "SYSWOW64".
Please help to solve this problem. Thank you.
Best,
