NUMA nodes

  Hi all, I am a bit confused by the NUMA nodes, and hope to get help. Thanks.
  I saw Ansys recommend to set NPS (NUMA domains per socket) to 4 in BIOS. I did so, but found 16 NUMA nodes in Task Manager > Performance > CPU.
  My machine has 2 sockets, so I suppose I should see 8 NUMA nodes, right?

  What is your processor make and model and also system make and model ?

  Hello,
  It is not very clear to me why you would see 16 NUMA for only 48 cores. I am sorry, but this question might be best answered by your hardware and operating system vendors - as this has something to do with how the OS is interpreting the BIOS settings
