Ansys EmployeeAs Formula Student is one of the most successful student competitions with strong Ansys usage, Ansys supports it for many years. The 2022-23 Formula Student season kickstarts on September 13th with a webinar followed by more than a hundred students. This webinar presented the dedicated self-learning courses and announced trainings organized locally. The recording of the webinar is available on demand here: https://www.ansys.com/webinars/formula-student-kickoff-event-2022
In October and November, 3 live training sessions have been organized locally in Germany, Greece and UK:Â Â
In Germany: Ansys and Cadfem Germany co-organied a German Formula Student workshop on two days starting September 30th at the University of Applied Sciences Amberg-Weiden. During two days 82 students from 20 teams attended three parallel sessions in CFD, mechanical and introduction to simulation with Discovery. Everybody enjoyed an excellent barbecue at the end of day one and a night at the university in sleeping bags. This event is an opportunity to promote the value of "coopetition", cooperation in the competition, as these two days are the only opportunity of the season for Student teams all over Germany to meet in live before the races.
In Greece: Simtec, supported by our colleague Christina Peristeri, organized the first Formula Student Workshop in Greece at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). The Formula Student community has been growing more than ever in Greece, with many great teams from every greek university delivering significant results in various competitions around Europe. Ansys recognizes their effort and supports them along the way.
In UK: Ansys supports Formula Student teams of UK by giving trainings during Learn to Win, the event which kickstarts the new Formula Student UK season and brings together the event organisers, head judges, partners and teams to discuss the year ahead. Our colleagues Bridget Ogwezi, Christina Peristeri, Rob Winstanley, Imran Siddique, Michael Doherty and Navid Manai made the show on November 4th at The Manufacturing Technology Centre of Coventry: Learn to Win 2022-23
