Hello all, I am working on 2D simulation of variable pitch VAWT blade using ansys fluent . Number of blades are 3. Â
what can I do in set up so as to get the pitch angle?  and may be power. actually I want to come up with the maximum pitch angle and compare with fixed.
kindly assist regards

Won't the pitch angle vary as the unit revolves?Â

It will change, I hope so. but how do i collect the data of thess angles.

Not easily. We can get facet normal data etc out of the solver, but surface data (especially angles) may be more difficult. An expression looking at the facet normal or relative position of two facets might do it.Â

I don't understand what are you really trying to do? Pitch angle is the one set by you during geometry creation or rotating the domain through UDF. If you are randomly rotating the blade than you can write a udf to get the face-centroid with threads and then the angle.Â
