SubscriberI would like to run a simulation where I vary the Bulk conductivity of a copper conductor. The default value is 58,000,000 Siemens/m, and I would like to run a variation from roughly 10% below to 10% above default.
Typically in HFSS, I can type a variable name into a box, and the software recognizes this as a variable and asks for the default value. I tried this when creating a new material in the material list, and was told that my variable "copper_conductivity is not a defined variable name in this context".
Next, I went to HFSS -> Design Properties to create a new variable. I made a new variable with units "S_per_m". I again tried to type this variable name into the materials property box, and got the same message.
How do you vary a material property such as bulk conductivity?

Define the project variable and use it to vary the material property.
Please go through this video for more details on how to define and use project variables.
Thanks Chinmay
