Was not able to retrieve the internal ID value in APDL launcher

  When running v211/ansys/bin/launcher211 (in CentOS 7) we see an strange error in a dialog ("Ansys Mechanical APDL Launcher Error"):
  "Error: was not able to retrieve the internal ID value for this ANSYS release"

  What exact version of CentOS are you running?
  Also, under: /ansys_inc/ you should see an install.log or install.err
  Do these files show any errors?

  Under ansys_inc there is only install.log (empty file)
  The version of CentOS is 7.9
