Error with co-simulation between Maxwell and Simplorer – failure to send data between packages.

      Hi There,

I am having a problem connecting Maxwell to Simplorer via cosimulation. In my case the problem is a little bizarre. I had the co-simulation running with no problems. Then, without changing anything (so far as I know), it threw up an error. I went back to some old model files which previously ran successfully, and they throw up the same error! Errors are below. It is frustrating - I have uninstalled and reinstalled software, and have rebuilt model from scratch - but no success. Both models run fine on their own. I wonder whether it is to do with ports? The error seems to be with the FEA component in Simplorer, which has a 'Maxwell_HostPort' of 7778. But really I have no idea - I cannot understand why it worked, and now doesn't.

      Any ideas much appreciated :)

Looks like there is not enough memory.
Turn off any TDM settings under HPC settings in Maxwell.

thanks for your response. I changed HPC Options - Options - HPC License to 'Pack' to avoid use of TDM. However, main errors are still there. It seems to fail on the Simplorer FEA1.Maxwell model, which is the cosimulation component in Simplorer. If you look at the timing, the first failure in Simplorer happens a second before the error in Maxwell. The first and main error is in Simplorer:
[error][Sim2000]Error - FEA1: We should not be receiving 0 byte data.
This seems to suggest that Maxwell is not sending data to Simplorer. Any thoughts?

      SOLVED!!
      To solve this problem:
In Maxwell, click Simulation - HPC Options
      Click Edit
      Untick 'Use Automatic Setting'
In 'Tasks', change to 1 (for me it was 4 which gave the errors).
      Click 'OK'.
Simulation should now work. Dont really understand why, but there we go!
