Hi, I've been working on a static structural project for a few weeks now and have run into a strange problem. The model itself is replicating a multi step forming process (two dies deforming a part one after another). So essentially I have 4 load steps: die 1 compression, unloading, die 2 compression, unloading. On all load steps I've been using auto time stepping. The strange part begins in step two when die 1 breaks contact with the part and no compression is occuring... Only the movement of die 2 into position. during this time force convergence drops, yet the time step decreases to the lower limit I set instead of increasing. When load step 3 begins there still is not an initial contact meaning overal force is still very low, yet time increment will jump up to the initial value I set then decrease again. Does anybody know why this might be happening? I am using displacement controls on the die so I don't believe rigid body motion is an issue
