Troubleshooting Tips for Failed Catia V5 File Import in Ansys MAPDL

Question - What other things can I try when importing a Catia v5 file fails in Ansys MAPDL?

Answer - There is a documented option on the ~CAT5IN command that will allow the model to be imported into Ansys MAPDL. It must be typed in to the command input as follows:

~CAT5IN,model,CATPart,,0,0,1

The "1" in the last field is the NOCL field which controls removal of tiny objects. The default for this field is "0" which is to remove tiny objects without checking the model validity. A value of "1" in the field indicates to not remove any tiny objects.
