For instance, the course delves into the process of making battery packs from cells, the importance of cell testing, and the interpretation of a typical cell data sheet. It also discusses the life cycle testing of cells under specific use conditions, such as for electric vehicles or grid applications. The course further explores the role of the motor and controller in electric vehicles, the forces acting on a vehicle, and how these forces affect the vehicle's speed and acceleration. It also introduces the fundamental physics underlying the operation of motors and controllers, including power, efficiency, torque, and speed. Finally, the course explains the concepts of magnetism and heat flow, and how they relate to the functioning of a motor.
