Intro to Connections — Lesson 1

The primary function of bolts is to connect the mating parts together. For example, in this video four bolts are being used to hold together two components of a valve with a gasket sandwiched between them.

When modeling a bolted assembly, the bolts need to interact with the mating components. In this lesson, we will learn about the various options available to connect bolts to the mating parts and the important factors we need to consider when choosing among these options.
