This course introduces the techniques necessary to model a number of advanced contact features, such as contact surface wear, the effects of fluid penetration pressure on the contact area, and exceeding the material shear stress limit at a sliding interface, that are not exposed in Ansys Mechanical™ structural finite element analysis software user interface.

- Navigate the Ansys documentation that is useful for defining advanced contact features.
- Describe the basic Mechanical APDL command syntax and the commands that are used to access advanced contact features.
- Implement the procedure for creating Commands objects and advanced contact features.
Prerequisites:
- Completion of Fundamental Topics in Nonlinear Structural Analysis is required.
- Completion of Fundamental Topics in Nonlinear Contact is recommended.
