Gaskets act as sealing elements between structural components, are usually very thin, and are made of various materials, including steel, rubber, and composites. The gasket analysis options in Ansys Mechanical™ structural finite element analysis software offer a convenient and efficient way to include gaskets in your analysis model and to incorporate their often complex nonlinear stiffness behavior.
